How Savant, PowerApps, and PowerBi Revolutionized Charity Data Management

Challenge
Having recently transitioned to Donorfy, a CRM focused on charities, Dementia Jersey sought to streamline their reporting and processes. Key tasks included:
automating reporting
managing event attendances
integrating new records into Donorfy
Solution
Connor utilized Savant and the WordPress API to connect with all form entries on Dementia Jersey’s website. Savant’s built-in API tools simplified this process significantly, requiring only input of headers and URLs, with the system handling the rest. The addition of webhook and email triggers by Savant enabled real-time updates to their database upon form submissions. The intuitive tools within Savant facilitated data extraction, transformation, and seamless transmission to desired destinations.
Another solution Connor implemented was the development of a Power App to track attendance at Dementia Jersey's activities. Previously a manual process, it was crucial for the Power App to maintain up-to-date data. Scheduled analysis through Savant's Scheduling bot ensured data refreshment daily, providing users with an easy means to monitor attendance and volunteer hours.
The integration of these solutions significantly eased the reporting burden for Dementia Jersey staff. Rather than laboriously entering data into multiple Excel sheets, automation ensured automatic addition of data to the CRM. Utilizing Donorfy's prebuilt OData connection, seamlessly integrated with PowerBi, facilitated accurate and automated reporting, easily updatable as needed.
Result
These combined efforts enabled Dementia Jersey to save time and energy, empowering staff to better serve those affected by dementia on the island. With improved data management and visualization capabilities, they could now identify trends previously unnoticed. Leveraging Savant's unique tools facilitated the digital transformation of Dementia Jersey, aligning them with modern practices.
