Alteryx Inspire EMEA 2022
The Continuum team recently had the pleasure of connecting, learning, and celebrating at the first Alteryx EMEA Inspire since before in-person events were put on hold by COVID, and it certainly did not disappoint!
There were 1000+ Alteryx Community members at the conference in Amsterdam, with even more tuning in virtually from around the globe, making it an incredible experience.
Here are some of our highlights from the trip.
Continuum Take On Amsterdam!
As mentioned, this was the first time the team have all travelled together since the last EMEA Inspire back in 2019.
Not only that, but this was the first EMEA Inspire was held outside of the UK. While we did enjoy the travelling, it didn’t come without its fair share of challenges: hours of queueing at airports, some interesting attempts at speaking Dutch, and certainly some early rises - Ben doesn’t do well without his beauty sleep (as you can see to the right).

Alteryx Unveiled their new Analytics Cloud Platform
The unified platform hosting Alteryx Designer Cloud, Machine Learning, and Auto Insights was showcased in action. The team were very impressed by the seamless transition between the different products on the platform.
We are hoping to get our hands on this product as soon as possible to become experts on the Analytics Cloud Platform. We are committed to ensuring your business has the best possible solution for your existing IT infrastructure; whether that is the new cloud offering or the on-prem products that we already know and love.
As soon as we have access to the Analytics Cloud Platform, we will be showcasing it for all to see - so keep an eye out!
Dan presented… Unleash your Workflows with Automated Insights
That’s right - our very own founder Dan presented alongside the Alteryx Director of Product Management, Robert D’Arrigo, to show how Alteryx Auto Insights can empower your existing Alteryx workflows to provide game-changing insights at the click of a button.
You’ve probably heard it before, but we think Auto Insights is the future of data visualization. It gives business users their own virtual data expert and delivers tangible ROI in 3 major ways:
Providing faster insights for business users
Spending less time on back-and-forth discussions between business users and analysts
Ultimately, unlocking better business outcomes
We were even told that there will be many new features of Auto Insights being released soon, so were very much looking forward to this amazing product getting even better.
If you’re interested in seeing a demo of Auto Insights in action, then get in touch and we can make it happen!
Alteryx Sneaks!
Alteryx announced 5 new “Sneaks“ (product features) they have conceptualized with the hope of receiving feedback from the conference attendees to understand how useful they would be for their clients. These Alteryx Sneaks were the following:
Alteryx Desktop Time Machine – Designer workflow update tracking to allow formalized change management and version control similar to SharePoint.
Aristotle – Causal AI for intervention planning and improved decision-making via the Alteryx Cloud Machine Learning product. Identifies not only a correlation between variables but also the underlying cause of this correlation to surface possible actions that drive change.
Byte-sized Missions – An Auto Insights mobile app that allows you to view your insights on the go, sending you notifications when changes occur in the data that you should be aware of.
AleBoost - The ability to combine the Alteryx Cloud Machine Learning product with Alteryx Plans - the Designer Cloud scheduling feature - to add your machine learning models into a further automated workflow, allowing you to automate your ML predictions.
Excel Migration Tool – A tool that queries an Excel workbook and deconstructs it into an Alteryx workflow automatically, replacing VLOOKUPS with Joins, transferring Excel formulas into the relevant functions in a Formula tool etc.
The most popular of these at the conference was the Alteryx Desktop Time Machine, so hopefully, we will be seeing this feature added sooner rather than later. Let us know which of the Sneaks you are looking forward to most - the more support for the feature, the more likely Alteryx will want to release it sooner!
The McLaren Car
Alteryx also parked a McClaren F1 car in at the conference, for attendees to have a photo with. Of course, we couldn’t miss out on the opportunity to get some snaps with the team and some of our clients who attended the event. Even though most of the team are not diehard F1 fans, it was great seeing it in person.
When and Where is the Next Inspire?
The next global Inspire is taking place from May 22nd - May 26th next year in Las Vegas.
If you can make it, brilliant! If not, don’t worry, Alteryx have announced they will be hosting an Inspire On Tour in multiple destinations around the world including:
Sydney
UK
Tokyo
France
Singapore
Amsterdam
Mumbai
Middle East
So if you’re interested in attending, stay tuned as we will be providing details for all these events as soon as we receive them.
