From Namibia to Alteryx Grand Prix: Meet Katrin, Continuum's Newest Data Analytics Superstar!

Meet Katrin, the newest consultant to join the team. Born and raised in Namibia, Katrin has always been passionate about numbers and problem-solving. She pursued a career in finance and became a chartered accountant before joining Standard Bank.

During her time at Standard Bank, Katrin stumbled upon Alteryx. Intrigued by its capabilities, she started using it in her work and was blown away by its potential. Katrin was determined to learn everything about Alteryx and how it could help her and her clients make better business decisions.

In 2017, Katrin she moved to Jersey with Standard Bank and met Dan. She started participating in the weekly Alteryx challenges and quickly became known for her expertise in the software. By early 2018, Katrin had completed all the Alteryx certifications, making her one of the most qualified Alteryx users around.

Katrin's dedication and hard work paid off when she made it through to the Alteryx Grand Prix event in mid-2018. She asked Dan to be her co-pilot, and together they won the competition. Since then, Katrin has spoken at various Inspire events and has become a sought-after consultant, using Alteryx to help companies with data remediation, data migration, and process automation.

Katrin’s EMEA Grand Prix win came less than a year after picking up Alteryx – amazing!

Katrin's success is a testament to the power of hard work, dedication, and a willingness to embrace new technologies. Her story is an inspiration to anyone looking to make a name for themselves in the fast-paced world of data analytics and automation. As Katrin shows us, with the right tools and a passion for problem-solving, anything is possible.

We’re very excited that Katrin is working with us, bringing our story full circle since she was our first client seven years ago at Standard Bank.

Katrin, whilst obviously unique, also reflects the many inspirational Women in Data Analytics, specifically our Alteryx clients, where business knowledge is more important than having learnt to code.
