What is a Junior Analyst and Why We’re Investing in not one, but two!

Written by Matteo Pallot

As a Junior Analyst, no two days are the same. The tasks one day would range from a full 7-hour day of professional services to a day consisting of; a couple hours of training, a couple hours of meeting new clients, training some existing clients and then writing a blog post like this.

Some other responsibilities include:

·        Learning new skills/tools/concepts to fulfil the needs of clients.

·        Research new technologies and software and develop ways to implement these learnings into existing processes to enhance the current ways.

·        Participating in Hackathons to test our new skills and technologies against other keen analysts.

·        Attend events about relevant topics as well plan and present our latest and coolest findings at local user group events!

The most important trait of a Junior Analyst is the ability to problem-solve and a determination to use these solutions to the required application! This diversity of skills is why Continuum is so keen to hire a Junior Analyst. We value this position so much that we don’t just want one, we are investing in two!

In a rapidly changing and evolving world, a new perspective on legacy processes can breathe life into any organisation. Junior Analysts fit this persona perfectly, as they won’t have a blinkered or biased view of working, ingrained in them from years of experience.

At Continuum a Junior Analyst would increase the capacity of the team on not just the client offering but also the ability to perform R&D. You will have the opportunity to shadow sales, consultancy, training and enablement calls. In this environment, you will also make friends and grow your professional contact list, which is an invaluable experience working in Jersey. There is also great exposure to the latest technology in the data and AI (artificial learning) / ML (machine learning) world that can lead to you pioneering the latest and most innovative solutions to long-standing problems.

If you’ve read this post and thought

‘Hmm, my skills would fit well in this role and i’d like to know more ..’

please do not hesitate to apply for our Junior Analyst position.
