Certification Evenings coming to Jersey

2019 Q2 Jersey User Group Recap

Thanks again for to all those who attended another busy Jersey User Group at the Hub. Great to see familiar faces and a few new ones.

We had a great line up of presenters again from Alteryx and the Community, and would love to have some of you demonstrate how you make your job easier and more fun - the simpler the better.

Certification Evening - Tuesday 16th July from 1730 !

We already have a great collection of Certified Alteryx users in Jersey (6 Advanced and counting!), but we’d love to get even more !
We will be hosting an after work evening at our new offices in Forum 4 where after a short presentation about the Core Exam we will set you off and the Continuum team will be there to help with technicalities (but not giving the answers !).
At the end we can enjoy a few drinks and pizzas, with a gift for all those who pass!

You can start your prep with the Alteryx Core prep guide.

Web Scraping

Phil gave a great demo of Web scraping to find a second-hand Tesla across all car sites (typical !), showing both the basic Web Scraping tool available in Alteryx and then using the more advanced Python Code Tool. Handy !

New Release 2019.2

James from Alteryx gave us all a run down of the new features in the next release, due in June. These included the awesomely cool Interactive Results grid which will aid quicker adoption by Excel users by creating the Alteryx tools representing the filter that you built.

For our growing Server use base the enhancements include admin dashboard and improved permission management and audit logging.

Server Demo and Favourite Macros

Finally, Ben gave a great presentation on a practical use case of Server, demonstrating just how easy it is to take Alteryx Designer workflows and publish them on your own private Gallery for general business consumption, as well as some of his favourite public gallery macros

2019 Q2 Guernsey User Group Recap

Ben and the Alteryx team also took to Guernsey the following day to host our second Guernsey Alteryx User Group.

The day followed a similar agenda, and it was a pleasure to meet our Guernsey users with a good turnout at the Digital Greenhouse of existing and prospective users in attendance.

See you for 2019.3 !
