Alteryx Server provides a gallery for Designer users to share and schedule workflows, with built-in, version control and data management features. It allows business users who don’t have access to Alteryx Designer to execute workflows, spreading the benefits of data preparation and analysis across your business. Most importantly it works with existing data controls to ensure data only falls into the right hands.
In our tutorial we introduce you to the Interface tools to enable interaction, like “File Browse” and “List Box”, to allow users to tailor their experience with the workflow. You also have the ability to sign-in with Windows integrated security, SAML or Alteryx built-in authentication. Additionally, you can create ‘Collections’ that will allow you to share with only specific users and control the permissions of those users, meaning they can either run or control the workflows.
You can do all of this and more without the need of Alteryx Designer on the user’s desktop - just as a web browser!
